Via a set of five activities students will experimentally investigate a variety of different materials. In doing so the students will become familiar with the properties of different materials, and will be able to compare and group everyday materials based on: electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, mass, magnetism, and resistance to impact. Students will consider which materials are best suited for different parts of a spacecraft.
